Becky is our Shop Manager. She keeps everything in order and is a vital part of our organisation.
I am mum to two grown-up children and I live locally. I have worked in retail for most of my life. I’ve been at Reach Out to the Community since March 2025, as manager of the shop on Wilbraham Road.
My job involves dealing with customers, pricing merchandise and creating window displays. I work for RoC because I have always wanted to help support people experiencing homelessness.
I enjoy all aspects of my job. I like the variety of customers and I have made friends with lots of people, volunteers and customers. I find it rewarding when I get to help homeless people first-hand, because I can see the difficulties they have, as well as the impact RoC makes on their lives.
In future, I would like to do some outreach work as a volunteer, though my main interest is in running the shop. I really want the shop to thrive so that the work of the charity can continue and expand.
